Truly love this photo, but I'm disappointed in the branch that happened to be in the way. I attempted to blend it in more to the photo by darkening it, but it still stands out just the same. I'll pretend it just creates a framing effect rather than acting like a distraction in the shot. (:
i don't actually feel like i'm in a position to write critiques, but this is so beautiful i couldn't NOT write something. (feel free to ignore this if you're offended by it!)
this shot manages to capture the beauty and elegance of the animal in a way that really draws me in. i feel like there is a lot to see in those eyes, not emotions that one typically associates with leopards. to me, it looks like he is being careful, stealthy and maybe a little sad. i like how there is greenery on the left side to balance the photo, it adds a lot to it.
sadly, the branch (?) is a little distracting because it is so blurry - it takes up so much space in the photo because of that.
the color scheme is beautiful, though, it seems very natural and fits the title very well. the detail on the leopard is amazing and stands out even more due to the blurred background.
The branch is a bit of a problem, but I think it's fine. Maybe a portrait crop would look better? That way the branch would only be in the bottom right corner, being more frame-like. Still, it's a fantastic shot. Is this from a zoo?
